A Message From Our Principal, Shelli Rambo

Dear Canyon Springs High School Students and Families,

It is with great excitement that I write to you as we reach the mid-year point of our first year together.  I am honored and grateful to lead such a dedicated team of teachers and support staff as we continue to partner with families and the school community in our efforts to fulfill our school’s mission by developing students academically, building citizenship qualities, and gaining post-secondary readiness skills while earning a high school diploma.

As we return from winter break and kick off the new year, I want to not only reflect upon our accomplishments thus far, but also share the exciting things we are doing to increase opportunities for student credit recovery, graduation, and college and career pathways.  In the second year of implementing a competency-based education model we are proud to share that students have accelerated their learning, are earning more credits, and are on the road to graduation in preparation of the many college and career opportunities available to them.  Canyon Springs High School’s mentoring, credit recovery, and personalized learning programs, as well as the hard work of our students, faculty and school leadership team, are responsible for these changes.  I am truly excited to see what the future brings.

In closing, I would like to encourage students, if they have not done so, to take advantage of Canyon Springs’ growing campus activities and student opportunities.  I would also like to re-invite parents and community members to get involved in our growing Parent-Family Education Team as we look to strengthen the school’s academic programs and extend extracurricular activities for our students.  As we look ahead to the new year, Canyon Springs High School continues to strive to ensure that all students take full advantage of the educational opportunities and activities that help our students reach their fullest potential.

School improvement is a team effort and I welcome your ideas.

Respectfully,

Shelli Rambo

Principal
